About Us

Yardley Makefield Emergency Unit (YMEU) was established in 1955. We are a 501(c)(3) organization. YMEU employs approximately twenty-five pre-hospital professionals. Our personnel is a mix of paramedics, EMTs, PHRNs and volunteers. We operate an advanced life support (ALS) unit 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our ALS in-service time is 100%, one of the highest in-service times in Bucks County. Our organization averages approximately 2,414 emergency calls a year. Our coverage area includes Lower Makefield Township and Yardley Borough with a combined population of approximately 38,411 residents.
